De minister voor Armoedebeleid, Participatie en Pensioenen heeft de AOW-leeftijd en de leeftijd, waarop de AOW-opbouw begint, voor het jaar 2029 vastgesteld. De AOW-leeftijd en de aanvangsleeftijd zijn vanaf 2026 gekoppeld aan de ontwikkeling van de levensverwachting. Deze leeftijden worden jaarlijks bepaald aan de hand van de gemiddelde resterende levensverwachting op 65-jarige leeftijd. De AOW-leeftijd wordt vijf jaar van tevoren aangekondigd. Voor 2029 is de AOW-leeftijd vastgesteld op 67 jaar en drie maanden. De aanvangsleeftijd is vastgesteld op 17 jaar en drie maanden. Voor 2028 gelden dezelfde leeftijden.<\/p>\n
De fiscale pensioenrichtleeftijd is op vergelijkbare wijze als de AOW-leeftijd gekoppeld aan de levensverwachting. De pensioenrichtleeftijd blijft in 2025 68 jaar. Sinds de inwerkingtreding per 1 juli 2023 van de Wet toekomst pensioenen is de fiscale pensioenrichtleeftijd alleen nog van belang voor het overgangsrecht.<\/p>\n
